So when @MarriottBonvoy brought 3 nomads together for a week in Seattle, our base was @MoxySeattleDowntown. We spent a couple days experiencing some of the most iconic places in the city as well as a place we know and love, Mt Rainier. The three of us laughed till our faces hurt and had so much fun catching up.

We’ve been to this restaurant twice now and hope to have time for one more visit before we leave. Cape Town has so many quirky gems. I’d love to hear other recommendations for similarly unique spots.

📍 Polkadraai Strawberry Farm is about a 35 minute drive out of the CBD in Cape Town. On a nice weekend, I imagine it gets quite busy and there are activities like tractor rides for kids. We went on a cloudy weekday and had the place to ourselves.

💵 80 Rand or around $4.85 USD per little bucket which is definitely larger than the container you get at the store for a similar price.

🍓 The berries themselves were large, plentiful, and in great condition! They usually are pickable from October - December.

📍Heaven Coffee Shop is right on Green Market Square

The coffee wasn’t my favorite in Cape Town by any means, but it was well prepared and the setting is quiet and lovely! And the resident dog, Cocoa, is adorable. 🐶

Ok, maybe not the primary reason…I’ve just always wanted to visit the beautiful city of Cape Town, South Africa. The friendliness of everyone here has been off the charts, the views breathtaking, and the eclectic mix of cultural influences make the food scene so much fun.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, father figures, and people who teach us life lessons. My dad taught me a lot and I recognize him in a big part of who I am. Thanks for all the wisdom, deep sentimentality over music and history, and a powerful sense of nostalgia. I’ll never forget “lefty loosey, righty tighty.” Our parents and people we love are never here forever. Hold them close.
